Item number: 251144

Very nice and interesting WW2 KIA Purple Heart document. The document is named to Private Eugene Tinker (service number: 31401988), member of I Company, 304th Infantry Regiment of the 76th Infantry Division. Tinker was KIA on the 26th of February 1945 while assaulting the Siegfried Line in and around the river Nims and town of Alsdorf, Germany. Tinker is buried at Plot E, Row 15, Grave 66, Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg. The Purple Heart award certificate was awarded on the 6th of August 1945. The award certificate is glued to a piece of cardboard and remains in a very good condition as can be seen on the photos. No repairs, no damage.

The document already comes with a nice amount of research on Tinker. Very nice and historically interesting KIA Purple Heart document!
