Very nice and interesting Korean War KIA Purple Heart document. The document is named to Corporal John Lloyd Madvig (service number: 1047274), member of the 2nd Battalion,7th Marines of the 1st Marine Division. Madvig was KIA on the 3rd of November 1950 during fighting in Korea. Madvig got killed by a gunshot or small arms fire. Madvig is buried back home in the US at the Cyrstal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Purple Heart award certificate was awarded on the 8th of February 1951. The award certificate remains in a good condition as can be seen on the photos. No repairs, no damage.
Very nice and interesting historical KIA Purple Heart document which comes with some research but definitely deserves more!
