Excellent historically interesting WW2 Cased Named and Researched Bronze Star Medal Set. The set consists of the following items:

 

- WW2 Cased Bronze Star Medal script engraved to Joseph C Brown.

- WW2 Good Conduct Medal government engraved to Joseph C Brown.

- WW2 Bronze Star Award Certificate named to Sergeant Joseph C Brown and awarded in 1948 for actions on or about the 1st of March 1945.

 

All parts of the set remain in good lightly used/worn condition. No repairs, no damage.

 

The set was awarded to Sergeant Joseph Connard Brown (service number: 14008631). Brown was born in 1925 and passed away in 2016. In his life Brown served in World War Two, Korea and Vietnam. During WW2 Brown served in the European Theater of War with the 13th Infantry Regiment of the 8th Infantry Division. Brown took part in a total of 5 ETO campaigns being Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe. During his service in Europe, Brown received a wide array of medals. A Bronze Star and Purple Heart, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 5 Battle Stars, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, American Campaign & Defense Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Brown received his Bronze Star for actions on or about the 1st of March 1945 during which time the 8th Infantry Division was making its push towards the Rhine.

 

The set comes with some research which will be provided to the buyer. However this historically interesting and important set deserves so much more research. Would make an excellent research project!
