An original WW2 cased named Purple Heart medal set. The Purple Heart comes in its original metal case of issue (which is in rough shape and misses the bottom plate) together with a post WW2 replacement issue Good Conduct Medal. Both the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal are named and engraved to "George J. Young". We haven't done any research on Young so this would make a nice research project. The Purple Heart comes with a slot brooch, indicating production during WW2. Great reaserchable set in decent condition! No repairs, no damage.
