WW2 Cased & Named Bronze Star Medal, 6th Infantry Division (Battle of Luzon, 1945)
- Type: Slot Brooch
An original complete and named WW2 cased Bronze Star medal. The medal comes in its original case of issue (which has some wear to it) together with its ribbon bar, lapel pin and 6th Infantry Division patch. The medal comes with a slot brooch mechanism and its original ribbon, indicating production during WW2. The Bronze Star is named and hand engraved to "Albert E. Storrer". Albert Emil Storrer was a private first class with the 6th Infantry Division. Storrer was cited for meritorious achievement against the Japanese during the Luzon Campaign in the Philippines, one of the major battles of the Pacific war. According to a newspaper article his decoration was awarded by Major General C. E. Hurdis, commander of the 6th Infantry Division. Great interesting historical set in great condition! No repairs, no damage.
Would make an interesting research project to find out more about Storrer! The research we currently have will be provided to the buyer.
