WW2 KIA Purple Heart Document Set, 79th Infantry Division, Battle of La Haye-du-Puits (Normandy) 1944

Very nice, hard to find and interesting WW2 KIA Purple Heart document set. The set consists of the Purple Heart award certificate and Presidential Memorial Certificate.

The award document is named to Private First Class Millard B. Wilson (service number: 39246553), member of the 313th Infantry Regiment of the 79th Infantry Division. Wilson was KIA on the 8th of July 1944 during the Battle of La Haye-du-Puits, Normandy, France. Wilson is buried at plot C, row 3, place 25 at the Normandy American Cemetery St-Laurent/Mer, Omaha Beach, France. The Purple Heart award certificate was awarded on the 8th of September 1944. The award certificate remains in a very good condition as can be seen on the photos. No repairs, no damage.

The Presidential Memorial Certificate is also named to Private First Class Millard B. Wilson (service number: 39246553) and confirms his death in the "European Area" on the 8th of July 1944. The Presidential Memorial certificate also remains in a very good condition as can be seen on the photos. No repairs, no damage.

Very nice, historical and interesting KIA Purple Heart document set which deserves some further research!

By the way, knives are not included of course ;)
